Seatbelt / harness anchor points in IVA
Now I know from conversations, that the location of the upper harness point in relation to the seat is important. The wrong angle, and it's a
fail.
Maybe be I'm blind, but I can't see in section 19 or the draft IVA where the relative location of the mountings to seats are defined.
There's lot about how they should be fitted to the chassis, as well as how many are needed, but I can't see a reference to
their position.
Any pointers?

Unfortunately, nothing in the IVA has yet been finalised. Best you can do at present is to comply with SVA regs or wait until IVA comes in (and even
then it's likely to be subject to cnange)

NOTE 3:Seat belt anchorage points must comply with the strength and location requirements of Directive 76/115/EEC
SVA requirements are based on the same directive (which hasn't changed in this respect for a long time) so if it complies with the SVA manual it
should be fine for IVA.
