TVR Chim Engine

Evening guys,
the other night, I binned my Chimaera not far from my house Over the next 4weeks I am going to be breaking it - and just want to guage whether or not anyone on here would be interested in the drivetrain...
1996 TVR/RV8 4.0, 60k miles, good oil pressure (45 cold, 30 at hot idle) - may still run in car, but I have lots of vids of it going.
The gearbox is the Borg warner T5 box, rebuilt less than 1k miles ago
propshaft, LSD, driveshafts, calipers hubs etc all available.
Nothing as yet has been removed from the car, but thought it could be of interest of someone on here.
Would put it in a landy/go kart but I have just bought by first house, so no longer have the time/money for fun projects anymore!

Cheers

Tom

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Hi Chaps,
Yeah, I have done a good job of totalling it havent i? I walked out of the crash, ended up in a ditch on my side.. i lost it on some ice, I thought is was just wet, so driving accordingly...completely my fault!
to make matters worse, when I was clambering over the car to get out, the damn gritter covered me with grit salt...5mins too late!

Well, to answer any questions, all bits that are slavageable will be available, not sure about the condition of the chassis - one of the winter jobs is to completely strip the car and shotblast and powdercoat the chassis if it is straight (pre-crash it was a very good one, regularly waxolyed, but that counts for nothing, unless it is straight and true now!)

Anything unsold by mid-Jan will prob be going on Ebay.

Have 'hypothetically' called insurance, and their payout was minimal, will get more breaking it, as well as preserving my unprotected NCB.

About prices, I have no idea, will have to look up individual bits, but am more than willing for offers!

Cheers

T
