Viento nose cone mesh

Where is the best place to get mesh to fit the viento nose cone, i think the size i need is about 700mm x 400mm.
Ive had a look at CBS and halfords and they are all to small but i have found this at B&Q but no idea of the quality or what it is made from.
All advice is welcome.

Hi Tom,

I used the stuff from Halfords but as you say it is not big enough.

My grille has a small gap at the top but you can't see it unless you get right down. I also have the Luego grille in front of the mesh.

I have used the B&Q stuff and it seems OK. (I sprayed mine black though.)

They have two different sizes, one has much smaller gaps. So make sure you get the larger one if your radiator is marginal and needs the air flow.

The stuff from Halfords was v expensive so I used B & Q. Not bad and big enough for a Luego (Velocity I think) cone. My mistake was not painting first as it rusted fairly quickly. Have since sprayed with rust converter and matt black on top. Just the job.

The one I bought from B&Q was aluminium, so should not rust anyway.

I got mine cut to size, by this chap on Ebay.

I dont know if he is still doing it.
did me stainless welded mash. and its still not rusty after 3 years.

He will cut to size, and post to you.
Also will orientate as a diamond shape if you want. This costs more as it uses more mesh.

An excellent chap, helpful, friendly, and not as expensive as halfords etc.

And it WILL fit you car with no gaps!

I got mine 3 years ago, so appologies if he is not in the market any more.

Cheers

Geoff

Got my mesh from Halfords and it worked fine for me - no gaps ? Allegedly stainless so should last, I will report after a few months. I cut back the lip inside the nosecone until just big enough to push some panel finisher on to and the mesh goes behind with no gaps.

Cheers
Simon
