Mirrors - SVA ok?

Do you think these mirrors would be ok for the SVA?

Cheers

Chris

Can't see why not. SVA man might ask for the exposedhex section to be covered (very picky IMHO), bu that shuld be easy enough with a bit of tape or a modified nut cover.

Actually I saw a very neat solution to that the other day the stem was covered in a thin foam rubber and then the whole thing was covered in heat shrink - looked pretty good.

Thanks Nick!

I would fit some heat shrink over it prior to installation and then just shrink it when fitted to cover the hex nut. Tidy and simple

If the glass is big enough for the regs and the edge radius is ok then don't see why not.

My only issue mght be that when fitting them to the curve of the scuttle, are they going to end up at a funny angle?

Cheers,
James

Don't bother with the heatshrink and all that balls.

Take the hex bit off.

Drill a hole the same diameter of the threaded section in your scuttle (or wherever).

Insert a large washers onto the threaded bit.

Insert through drilled hole on car.

Use the hex bit on the inside.

Numpties.

I'm still around, but enjoying my MX5 (soon to be Megasquirted and turbo'd).

Best thing is that it's currently about 2 secs a lap quicker than the Bitsablade was at Donington.
