2 x Mk4 Escort Cabriolet Breaking + Other Zetec Bits
2 x Ford Escort XR3i Cabriolets Breaking
I am breaking 2 XR3i cabriolets – one is a 1987 MFi in white and the other is a 1988 EFi in, well, mainly primer now but was blue.
White Car Details:
Body: Usual rust spots – rear wheel arches, battery tray, windscreen lower panel. Slight damage to rear valance.
Engine: Was running, smokey.
Hood: Ripped vinyl, good handles/frame.
Doors: Passenger side good, driver side needs small repair to rear edge but otherwise good. Passenger side electric mirror not working.
Interior: Seats tatty and collapsed. Door cards (manual windows) good. Rear speaker pods not great but useable.
Wheels: Good dogleg alloys with tyres.
Other items: Partially stripped so probably only a spares car. Very good beige RS Turbo bonnet complete with vents. Reasonable front and rear bumpers,
good lights all round. Good boot lid.
Price: £100 or contact me for individual parts.
Blue Car Details:
Body: Very good, no obvious rust. Partly sprayed in primer. Headlight mounting panel damaged around headlight area (from fitting of quad
headlights).
Engine: Fitted with 1.8 Zetec 130ps engine. Running on 1.6 CVH management so not at its best.
Hood: Good vinyl, good handles/frame.
Doors: Passenger side good, de-locked. Driver side good, but electric mirror not working.
Interior: Half-leather seats tatty and collapsed. Door cards (electric windows) good. Rear speaker pods not great but useable.
Wheels: Good dogleg alloys with tyres.
Other items: Could be used as a shell donor. No front bumper, lights or grill. RS Turbo bonnet in black complete with vents (has a section removed
from the underside on the near side front – this can’t be seen with bonnet closed). Heavily smoked rear lights. Good boot lid.
Price: £300 or contact me for individual parts.

1 x good 90 spec front bumper, grey - £25
1 x good 90 spec rear bumper, grey - £25
1 x good 90 spec RS Turbo rear seat squab/split backrest - £15
1 x reasonable condition complete RS Turbo S2 bodykit including jacking point covers. Blue, but needs prep and paint - £40
1 x Escort 1.8 Zetec sump and oil pickup suitable for converting a 2.0 Zetec for fitting into a Mk4 Escort. £45 inc P&P.
1 x good Mk4 hood pump, rams and pipes. No leaks. £50 inc P&P
Where items are not listed inc P&P they are collection only from Bognor Regis, West Sussex.

Whats missing from the ECU & wiring loom to get an engine running?
(just agreed to buy a 1.8 engine with 2.0 cams in it - but without any electrics so wondering what else i need)

Hi Mike,
I'm not really an expert on this, but assuming that the engine has it's complete injection system, engine, exhaust and gearbox sensors
then all you'd need to do is slightly modify the loom (it is as it was removed from a Mk5 Escort) which basically involves wiring in a live feed
- I'm sure there are at least a couple of threads about this.
You'd also need an EDIS module (which I might be able to supply too) and I think that's about it.

Have now started stripping the blue car:
EFI clocks with Lockwood white dials, good condition except mileage reset button snapped off - £20 inc P&P;
Clock surround, good condition - £7 inc P&P;
Electric miror control button - £3 inc P&P;
Tinted black rear lights - £20 inc P&P the pair;
Boot lid, blue/primer, good lock with key - £25 plus P&P;
Half-leather rear seat back, good condition - £10 plus P&P;
Half-leather rear seat bolster, small cigarette burn in fabric - £10 plus P&P;
Blue tonneau cover, one popper and hook missing - £15 inc P&P.
Other bits still available, just ask.
