FS: 2003 VW Passat TDi 130 Sport

Evening all -

I'll post some pictures tomorrow when it's lighter and I can take some new photos.

I'm selling my 2003 (53 Reg) VW Passat Sport TDi. It's the 130Bhp model and has every optional extra possible fitted when it left the factory!

It's in a slate grey/blue, a lovely smart colour and quite rare too.

It will regularly get in excess of 55mpg - 60 can easily be achieved. 700 miles + from one tank of fuel is also possible without trying too hard. It's a superb car but I'm trying to raise some money for my wedding and bought a cheaper car for myself (Chris Gamlin's Cupra in fact)

Tax is cheap and about £130 a year.

Some of the equipment includes (on top of the standard spec)

Heated seats
Cruise Control
Steering wheel remote
Leather/alcantara interior (expensive option!)
Rear sunblinds
6 Disc CD Dash changer
Bury universal handsfree kit (will take any phone with only a change on dock)
Reversing sensors
Traffic Master - Full system including touch display (credit still on the system)
ESP (Traction and Electronic Stability Control)
Auto wipers
Auto dipping rear view mirror
Full FIS system on dash (shows radio info, and extra info from the MFA)

The car has always been promptly serviced and at VW. More recent services have been at a VW specialist (AutoWork VW in Salisbury).

Current mileage is about 117k.

Paintwork is in good condition, to be expected for the age and miles. There are a few dinks - nothing major and not noticeable without a damn good look. All the marks were there when I bought the car and it's never bothered me but it does detract from the car slightly. Dad didn't spot the marks when I bought the car (he viewed it on my behalf) but I did - never bothered me enough to do something about it though!

The car polishes up well and still looks smart but I describe it as very good condition - not any better but then it's nearly 6 years old.

I have both flip keys and both have full function (as in boot release on key too). I have the V5 in my name.

I'll post amend this advert tomorrow and include the full spec list with some photos too.

I'm looking for £3200 for the car.

Any questions get in touch - Colt_Mivec is not welcome to register an interest!

That'll be a good buy for someone - a lot of car for the money.

Nick - Thanks for that, I hope I've priced it fairly!

Bob - Got to pop to town to sort the registrar and I'll post some photos when I get back.

All the best

Michael

Have taken some more photos...

Forgot to mention Patty also has solar powered air conditioning too!

Sounds like a joke but basically the sunroof is a huge solar panel. When it's sunny the panel runs the air conditioning, keeping the inside of the car cool. Very very expensive optional extra and not normally found on cars outside of Germany. You can see the elements here on this photo. Never an option on the American markets - the American's kill for this apparently! (any excuse eh?)

If you don't know the standard equipment on Passats of this age this may help...

Electric mirrors (+ heated)
Electric windows all round
6 Speed gearbox (6 forward gears that is!)
Remote locking/alarm
Projector headlamps (Not Xenon but a simple conversion)
MFA On board computer (MPG, miles, temp etc..)
3 point seatbelts all round
3 rear headrests
3 lighter sockets (one front, one rear and one in boot!)
Puddle lights
16" Sports Alloys
Front and rear armrests (front adjustable in length and pitch)
Cruise and stereo controls on steering wheel

Front tyres are brand new - literally a few weeks use. They're a matching set of four (Michellin Primacy - superb tyres in the wet)

I'm bound to have forgotten some features, I'll add more when I remember!

There's more photos of Patty here in my archive

Thanks all
