Microphone for bullet camera setup

What microphones have people used for bullet cam set ups without in built microphones?

On www.zetecinside.com they recommend a Electret microphone which are about £20 from Maplins.

Wondered what other people have used with good results?

Get one of these: -

http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk/helmet_cam_accessories.htm

£12.50, 12v powered and designed for use with bullet cameras.

Otherwise, make sure whatever you buy is line-level, as in it's powered and amplifies to line level. Otherwise the signal will be too weak. That's assuming of course that you're recording onto a normal A/V input (camcorder or digital recorder etc).

Most microphones from Maplin will not be line level and so won't work very well.

I use this one
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=12188
Its quite big but I use it in a closed car.
It works very well at getting rid of a lot of the backgound noise ( I have tried others and this was the best)
