Chuffed to bits

Having ripped out the old wiring loom from the KC (a mangled example of the Mk2 escort loom) I have been re-wiring the whole car from scratch. Last night I started her up for the first time and she turned over first time.

Chuffed to bits!!! Just have to finish off the last few jobs with the wiring (hazard and headlight switches) and she'll be good to go.

Cheers

Exactly the reason for doing the work in the first place... Every time I went over a bump I would lose indicators, 1 rear side light and the dash lights!!!

Much happier now I know where everything is and how it all hooks together. It was a bit of a learning curve to figure out what went where etc but worth it in the end (at least I hope it's worth it - when I go for the first run I'll let you know)

I'd have to agree with Claire, electrics are sent by Beelzebub to torture us.

I'm wiring the single seater at the moment and I hate every minute of it!

Cheers

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

I didn't find it too bad, just need to take a slow and systematic approach to it. It's also made a lot easier in the KC as there aren't many circuits to think about (especially as it's a carb'd x-flow so no ECU etc), not like a production car with elecy windows / mirrors / etc etc!

Cheers
