Type 9 gearbox, reverse light switch?

I am looking for the small switch that detects when reverse has been selected. Mine has somehow become lost during the engine transplant.

Where can i buy these new?

Does anyone have a spare one lying around?

I have the electrical connector part, its just the switch part that i need.

Thanks

On my gearbox the switch fits into a small circular housing just in front of where the gear lever bolts on, on the right hand side. It should have two round pins protruding from it.

I checked the one I have - it has a single connector (might be from a four speed box ?)
Any good ?

Unfortunately i dont have my one to compare! but the mating electrical plug has two sockets on it for two terminals. Maybe as you say the 4 speed switch is slightly different. I am not sure it will work so probably better to keep hunting around.

There is a guy on Ebay selling them (as per link above) so will buy from there i think. Thanks for trying though.

I was painting my type 9 yesterday - it has 2 pins exactly like the one in the ebay picture. HTH, Steve.
