DVLA Registration survey
I am interested to hear from anyone who has registered or is currently going through the registration process with your local DVLA office within the
last four months. Please post the following:
Name of Office
Date Registered
Time taken from presenting Registration documentation to completion
OR
How long have you waited from the date you presented the Registration documents if the process is not complete.

Just to put my question into context this is my own answer:
Carlisle
Documents in 6th April
Inspection 7th July
Completion said to be a further 2 weeks (I am not convinced!!)
SO any more replies would be gratufully received. I am currently in correspondence with the Head of Customer Service and Compliance at Swansea so as
much information that I can get will be useful.

Maidstone DVLA
Date Registered 25th June.
Have to wait till 15th July for Inspection.
Then they'll want me to wait another 2 weeks for paperwork, if I don't badger them straight after inspection for it.

i have spoken to you regarding carlisle once before. they are useless! they told me 6 weeks so i cancelled and went to leeds. 10 days later i was on
the road!

Newcastle July 2006.
4 days from booking inpsection
5 min inspection to check engine/chassis no's
5 mins wait for tax disk and no plate authorisation letter.

Inspection booked for 8th July 09
Did advise if all OK after inspection, will issue paperwork within 3 days......will wait and see!

Dave, how are they stacked at Botley? Is there a long waiting list? Was looking at going into Pompey tomorrow with the intention of booking inspection
for following day. Or am I dreaming???
If its broke, fix it. If it aint broke, take it apart and find out how it works!

Had inspection today (8days later)
Was told that I would get the paperwork back before the weekend.
RANT ON
As an aside WHAT A TOTAL WASTE OF SPACE IS THAT INSPECTION! Half a day off work for a 3minute check of a few numbers. Haven't they heard of the
SVA.
STUPID, STUPID, STUPID.
And its my money that pays for it (from every direction).

Tax received 3 April
