new Jag XJ

What do we think then? Pretty or fugly? And more important, is it good donor material?

I ask because I'm trying to decide between this and the merc S-class. Obviously!

It looks like the designers couldn't make up their minds...

Bits of it look very nice, but the bits don't look so good when put together... it looks like an American attempt at a fast saloon.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

back looks brill but the front looks too much like the XF or like a sporty saloon. XJs are meant to be big, pompous and traditional!!!!

not the merc, the build quality is shocking.
suspension mounts rust through easily.

Mr clarkson slated them too, not that it makes a difference

Time for a change!

That's where most of them are sold.

All I can say is don't judge it from the pictures. Wait till you see it on the road. Its stunning. I was unsure about the back end until I saw it in the 'flesh'. Stunning is an understatement...

I saw one on the road a few days ago, the pictures don't do it justice, it's a fantastic looking car

I wasn't convinced initially but I've got to say, it's really grown on me.
