All Bran gives the best seal!

Seriously cereal or other, thicker cardboard boxes, greased make good gaskets

I used a pizza box for a while .... obviously the brand makes a large difference. I'll give you a clue, mine was a green box.

Within what time span ? Cardboard rots when exposed to water, I made a thermostat gasket and it was non existent after 2 months. I bought an A4 sheet to replace it but it wasn't 1mm thick. You could use a few layers of thinner stuff.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I bought this on eBay last month, quick delivery and quality gasket material.

I've used most of it, otherwise I'd have sent you some, but I can vouch for the seller
