Campsite for tents near clacton/st osyth ????
My sister has a static caravan at st osyth near clacton, we want to pop over and camp nearby to this for a few days in august but i am struggling to
find a campsite that takes tents.
Would be nice to be close so that we could cycle over to see my sister.
They all seem to be touring caravans only and NO tents ?
We dont need too many facilities, toilet and shower block would suffice for us.

Theres a few near to Clacton on the Camping and Caravan club site that should take tents,might be worth a try.

there is a camp site in brightlingsea,
you could shout at her from there ( over the colne estuary ) !
but its about 9-10mile drive round to st osyth ! or take the boat taxi to st osyth ( JUST GETS BETTER )
and a cheap pub next door, s/pool next to it and our great beach is about 1 min walk from the site !! if that helps
