i've had it! engine mounts

I was trying to keep the sierra mount and rubbers.

It is not a good idea......My exhaust and steering-shaft where causing troubles..

After hours of thinking i took the grinder and cut them out!...

So which mounts are small and capable to handle the 2.0 litre engine?

pfffffff. i'm cooling now

Old round puck Volvo, Volvo 122, looks like a hockey puck with a threaded bolt out of the top and bottom, sides can be trimmed to fit, they kept a 2 L volvo torque monster in check. i used them on my race car and Twin Cam toyota 4AGE. powered Locost

i think i still have these. they're from MK but i think the angles of the plates might be a touch off. i ended up remaking some for mine but if i still have them, you can have them for a tenner. you'd just need some fiesta gearbox? mounts or landrover engine mounts i think the other one is.

Those Landrover mounts look tiny.
Are they the gear-box mounts?

Anyone the numbers, so I can order them?

I've always thought the cut down ford TCA's always made tidy mounts.

I am using a 5.0 V8 and was thinking to fabricate my mounts with Hat bushings like the ones used on a-arms (Wishbones).
There´s a link somewhere in a 4 X 4 forum.

I used the sierra mounts, fabricated mounts from 6mm plate in the end (over engineered, but the plate was free!), this makes clearance a lot simpler to achieve.. The original sierra rubbers are good, the engine does not seem to move about that much at all, like you have found they are taller than the other solid rubber options.
