Where to buy polystyrene Sheets??
I'm after the same stuff as you get in boxes when you buy a new telly etc but in sheet form. I've looked on the internet and I can't
find where I can buy it from. I was hoping somewhere like B&Q would sell it? does anyone know, thank you in advance!

Used to get it from B&Q type merchants as cavity or stud wall insulation, came in 2 or 4 inch thick sheets

as above, any builders merchant in various thicknesses - used for insulating floors.

Used something similar for insulating the (up and over) garage door. Used the self-extinguishing kind though. Depending on what you're intending
to use it for that kind might be worth looking for.

got mine from wicks - didn't get self insulating (but have a cunning plan involving ali insulating foil covering it 
(and hoping it doesn't catch fire)

I don't think you can get fire retardant polystyrene. All you get is non toxic, so when it does catch fire, the smoke won't kill you!
We have loads of this stuff. Its incredibly cheap. We buy it from Polyscot and Eccleston and Hart. I probably have around 6 sheets of
8'x4'x 12" at work, that we use for formwork.
Also its worth mentioning that poly comes in many, many grades. The stuff from B&Q is low density and terrible to shape. If your shaping it, and
want it to hold some strength, go for the highest density you can. You can also get structural grade foams, that weigh the same, but its as hard as
wood!
Forgot to mention these guys as well. http://www.styrotech.uk.com. I've got accounts with all 3 companies if you want any special shapes made
up (most of them have computer controlled cutting machines)
