More ebay stupidity
I sold an item a while ago on ebay, all done and dusted and positive feedback's left each way, then I see the feedback is removed from my
ratings, this is ebays response:
Hello Pete,
Thanks for your e-mail in which you have asked us why your positive
feedback has been removed. I understand your concern about having
positive feedback removed from your account and am happy to explain why
this has happened.
The positive feedback was removed as an effect of the search outage on
the site the 21st and 22nd of November last. As we communicated earlier,
we want to protect sellers against negative or neutral buyer feedback as
well as against detailed seller ratings lower than 5 stars.
In your case, you received a positive feedback rating but detailed
seller ratings (DSRs) lower than 5 stars. That is why we have removed
the entire Feedback rating, both DSRs and the positive Feedback.
Why are we doing this?
We want to minimize the impact of the search outage on impacted sellers
as much as possible. By removing positive feedback with detailed seller
ratings lower than 5 stars, we want to avoid that a seller?s standards
and PowerSeller status is endangered by feedback received for
transactions that were affected by the disruptions.
Please note that it is not possible to recover the removed feedback.
I hope this helps to clarify the matter and thank you for your
understanding. If we can be of any further help, don?t hesitate to
contact us again by answering this email.

Who bothers with DSR's anyway, what a load of old tosh, they've turned a satisfied seller into a pissed off seller -

A few months back, ebay went down for a few hours. I would imagine it was that?

I never pay any attention or complete the DSR's anyway. Waste of time.

Must actually check mine, had a few people complaining about the time stuff took in the run up to Christmas. Even though I thought everyone knew
royal mail slows down at chrimbo.
Also had 1 guy messaging about where his parcel was a day after the payment cleared by e- cheque (whatever that is)

Search outage? Sounds like my stepdaughter looking for something (doesn't look up from MSN and says "I don't know where it is"
louder and louder)

What a crock of Cow Dung!!!
Be as well remove the feedback system. Soon we will not be allowed to leave neg feddback at all and only aloud to priase a seller before goods are
shipped.
