Impreza turbo engine and box dimensions

Hi,

Having seen the latest SDR V Storm with the subaru engine and gearbox, I'm considering using the same setup in the back of a tin-top.

Does anyone have a Scooby or the engine and box they could measure up for me?

I'm interested in the overall length of engine to the tail of the gearbox (where it would be blanked off), and also the distance between the front of the engine and the driveshafts.

Hoping someone has one to hand!

Cheers

i dont have an engine out, just the in my tin top.
i do have a legacy gearbox, which is the same size, thats up at my dads garage but we are snowed in at the moment.

i never have done the measurement to where the rear tail housing would be removed..but i could maybe sort that tomorrow for you.

Cheers Meany, that's a big help. Don't go to any trouble on my behalf, but will be interested if you do get round to measuring length with the tail removed!

Engine and box should be out tomorrow afternoon.
I can measure the whole set up for you if you want or give me a bell tomorrow aft on 01952727298 and let me know what dimensions you want.

Hi locoboy,

I'm thinking engine, box, ancillaries, loom and ecu. Any idea how much for the lot (assuming it fits!)
