A ton in the rain hehe.

Had to go to pick some train tickets up for my partner yesterday. 20 mile round trip and it was raining so I decided to make the only sensible decision of what to go in and so of course I chose Beccy

Waterproof coat, gloves and helmet and it was lovely haha. May have just broken the speed limit again but it keeps the visor clear

Got some very strange looks driving through Preston town centre though.

I really feel that those who say "The car has never been out in the rain" are really missing out on a raw and exciting driving experience!

I'm sure your right. We need a good summer to make up for this crappy cold spell.

Last weekend I was jumping (work) from 14,000ft in 28 degrees below freezing (+125mph wind chill factor) and ice crystals building on the goggles for 50 seconds. No amount of clothing keeps you warm in that.

So I guess you can see why I enjoyed my drive yesterday

By raw, do you mean that "water wicking up your shirt underneath your waterproof coat" feeling? I don't remember that as being "fun".

Sounds like an interesting job (albeit not my cup of tea!)

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Yeh, when you spin off at high speed you can blame the rain for having wet trouser legs

Again, someone confuses weather with climate change.

hehe! surely the very fact that the sahara was once a lake shows climate change has been around for a good wee while, and changing lightbulbs now wont really do anything...

The thread takes a new turn Hmmm.. one of my favourite bees in my bonnet. Here is an eye opener. Most big causes or catastrophes have big business and big profits well hidden. Take the so called credit crunch. Most people have lost money and will for many many years but the few who manufactured it have pulled off one of the greatest daylight robberies in history. Its just our so called leaders decided to give away our money to their mates to get them richer while telling us we are being saved from them. Big money and business own the media so why should we expect to be told the truth on the news when any differing opinions are dismissed as cranks no matter what their experience or qualifications.

Climate change is BIG business and more so if we believe we are causing it. Take a look at this ....

"The great global warming swindle"

Rant over

The people on their certainly seem credible qualified people, some who were involved in peer reviewed science and have different opinions about the conclusions and who the peers were and how the science was reviewed.

The great thing is we are all free to believe what we want. I just make sure my only source isnt from the OFFICIAL story alone. Of course we know our government or big industry wouldnt lie to us would they!

if, of course, that nail is a vaguely daily mail, ill formed opinion based on ignorance rather than conflicting and robust scientific literature then yes.

So that'll be 2058 then? When the Sun (the "newspaper" finally shuts the f**k up about the next summer being so hot we're all going to die

Don't go saying that, cos Brown will still think it's global warming/climate change, and it'll all be you fault for driving your car
