Not on a BEC yet but i like this sort...

Easy to see the filter and how clean it is, plus easy to take it apart and rinse it out
Is yours a carb or injection engine btw??

I did the same thing, and put the plastic one on the high pressure side of the pump.
Put the filter on the outlet from the tank, and itll be fine, and wont cost you any more money other than to replace it in 6m time.
Kindest Regards,
Richard.

I used the same filter as that originally and the fuel froze inside it whilst in the garage during the Winter of 2008/9 and the glass just broke and
dumped my fuel when it started to defrost in the morning.

The freezing point of petrol is roughly - 60 deg C. Must have been a chilly night oop north.
Or you have a load of water in your tank

Dunno Jim. I just remember finding a yellowey mould on the floor, realising it was petrol and seeing the glass filter cracked and slushy petrol in it.

The fuel pressure on the ZX12R runs at 40psi which would explain why it exploded. Last time I looked, the glass and plastic fuel filters could not
withstand that sort of pressure. Ideally, you need a metal canister type fuel filter from a car.
