Selling due to lack of use. To be honest the building challenge was more interesting than owning/driving the car. Cost £250 to go less than 100 miles this year what with mot insurance and road tax.

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

I am always happy to take someone for a spin, or to look over my car if there are any LCBs in the Southamtpon area that need a little encouragement!

Ray, check the map in my signature. It'll give you an idea who's local.

Old post resurrection!

Bringing this one up again...

I live in Germany, but will be making a trip to London and Nottingham 15-20 April.

It sure would be nice to meet up with someone and get a ride in one of these things!

This seems like a good idea.

Once this covid19 thing calms down a bit (gf is still isolating) I'd be happy to take anyone on the wirral out for a spin to remind them why they're building the damned thing. I have nothing ballistic, a stylus with 1700 crossflow, but it's still more or less hilarious to whip about in, and the fact that the DVLA actually let me drive essentially an oversized go kart on the road and don't charge me a penny tax is rather mind-blowing too.

PM me if interested.

How do you manage that? Some years they have charged me a pound per mile.

The builder used enough '77 mk2 escort parts to keep an age related plate when he did his SVA back in 2008... A while back he paid his road tax and got sent a letter telling him it was now tax/mot exempt, and a new V5. Apparently the letter is somewhere in the MASSIVE file of info, but I've not seen it yet, there's too much in there!

I'm most grateful to him for that, amongst many other things.
