Some people have no sense of humour.

A village near me, Cavendish, has a local "prankster".

A sign that pointed down a dead end lane was changed from:-

"To Duck Hall only" to "To *uck All only"

Another was the village entry sign:-

Cavendish
twinned with
Las Vegas

Cardboard sheep have appeared on the village green, and this year on 1st April it was Wind Turbines on the green.

Most people love it.

We have one of those speed sensing signs on the way into town that flashes up 'TOO FAST' if your doing over 30. Every now and then some wag covers the 'S' and the child in me smirks every time I see it flash 'TOO FAT'!!

There's a small ferry that crosses the river Fal in Cornwall, called the "King Harry Ferry". Years back, someone modified that to read "King Hairy Fanny"

I live in warwickshire, just outside Atherstone.
Some creative local junkie took a spray can to the sign and turned it into Ratherstoned.

Made me laugh anyway.

The best one round here is when I passes Canal Street in Manchester a few years ago (gay area) and someone had modified the sign to say "Anal treet"
