Which V8 were you thinking off? B7 (FSI) or earlier?

Probably the earlier 4.2 32v AHC only because there is no vvt or FSI and would be easier to run on an aftermarket ecu.

it seams the FSI is very hard to control? and the cam driven pumps lift the fuel pressure to between 30 and 100 bar

Yep... much easier to stick with the earlier engines.

Most aftermarket ecu's will control the non-FSI engine.

This is a good thread on Motorgeek... Hilly's Audi Esprit

So what were u planning to do with your direct injectors? Did u plug them. Also is there not a crank pos sensor on them. I see he had to make one?

I'm in the process of shoving an Audi S5 engine up the bum of a Porsche 356.... more info here

I'd be very interested to hear more about your FSI to ITB conversion.

Who made the ITB setup?
What ECU are you running?

Ultima GTR - 600hp Magnacharged LS2
MNR Vortx - Supercharged R1
Porsche 356 - midmounted Audi V8
