Cashing in Tax Disc

I want to cash in my tax disc and declare my kit car SORNed.

I have the tax disc to take to the post office, do I need the V5 as well?????

Just realised the V5 is packed ready for our move to South Africa on Friday.

Thanks
Keith

Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

I cashed in some tax just before the end of a month was surprised that becuse I sent it off before the end of the month they gave me a refund for the next month even though it was not processed by the start of this month.Turns out it is for full month from when you send them the form.
So get it sent before the month ends.

you could sorn it online, but should not be necessary since you have 6 days to get the form in before you lose another months money.

You don't take the disc to the Post Office, print the form or get one from the Post Office, attach the disc to it and post it off to DVLA.

They use the postmark as proof of date of posting, catch the last post on the 31st and you get next month's money back.

I have just done one and it is painless.

+1
Best to include a covering letter with your address in South Africa, too. Otherwise, some random person at your current gaff will receive a cheque with your name on it...

All the best with your move to ZA, by the way.
