Toyota Beams 3sge and J160 Dimensions

Hopefully this might be helpful to some people out there!!

Here are a copule of PDF’s that I created with some general dimensions for the Altezza Beams 3sge engine and J160 6speed gearbox, also the dry sump system, sorry I don’t have a standard sump to measure anymore.

Here is a sample, download the PDF for the full size pictures and from different angles

I tried to be as accurate as possible with a tape measure, to the nearest 10mm or so.

I managed to put this 3sge blacktop engine in my MK Indy in a rather alternative setup.
You can see that here:

To use it for normal sevens you will have to buy a drysump and cut a bit of the bottom of the gearbox. The altezza 6speed is nice but big
Also I would advise to not use the standard duo-mass flywheel as its 13kg instead of 5,9 for aftermarket ones.

To give an example from experience: It can be fitted in a RAW Striker too

Oh I think I love you! That saves me measuring up my 3sgte for the most part, though my transmission is different and a few extremes are shifted, but the basic dims will save me a few hours with a tape!

No worries, glad I could help, the block dimensions will be the same, but the head on this version will be taller than the 3sgte.
