Tough one. He probably should have pulled out earlier in the aproach to the corner but then again, it was quite wet down there.

either way, judging by the rest of his race in that particular corner, if he had got past, he would probably have taken buttons wing off!

I think it was a racing incident and not much more.

He was trying to out-brake button going into the corner and made slight adjustment to get a better line which threw his car into a spin on what we have to assumje was a damp track (I know Button said the track was dry at that point, but I'm sure there's a bit of McLaren propaganda behind that).

I think the drive through was good enough and no more penalty should be applied. If anything I want the chamionship decided on track not in the stewards office.

I like Vettel and I think he'd be a worthy champion. He's been a bit villified by the media this season and I think that's unfair.

Having said that, I want Button to win get a back to back chamionship and McLaren to take home the constructors.

Racing accident, and the punishment was correct. I dont breathe too much in to the talk about it being a young drivers mistake, wet or dry the best still make mistakes and it was just a bit unlucky that the car impacted with Jenson's the way it did, he could have lost control and gone the other way just as easy.

I would forgive any driver a mistake, even though he is making far more mistakes than most. What i didn't like was Vettel giving Webber the 'screwey' gesture after taking him out.

Its a real shame that Jenson was forced out of the race through no fault of his own, made worse because Vettle was able to keep going.

I was asleep during the Race and as such I've only seen highlights and interviews on the Iplayer. I think Vettles apology could have been more sincere (Though it might have been due to English not being his first Language). If your going to cause accidents like that you shouldn't be in F1, I want to see the championship decided on the track aswell, but by racing and not Crashes.

Sort of agree (and definitely agree about it being decided on the track) but Vettel is having a few too many racing incidents. His speed is unquestioned but he doesn't seem to be able to control that speed in the way that Hamilton/Webber/Alonso (I know he also had an off today but it was very wet then) can. I think his judgement around other cars is a bit questionable at times, certainly at that level. Maybe the drive through is enough with someone having a quiet word with him. That was a fairly basic error in car control.

"Well, it's kids, isn't it? Kids with not enough experience, doing a good job, then they f**k it all up." - Mark Webber.

RB messed up by not giving Vettel enough gear ratio to overtake. Vettel got frustrated and had to take a big risk to get past Button. Vettel does need to mature though, he is a bit of a loose cannon at the moment.

If it's a 'racing accident', not stupidity or intentional, then surely there should be no punishment!!

Vettel has a mind set problem he still thinks he is karting, the blame that the problem hasn't been straightened out lies with one person who has too much influence in Red Bull management Dr Helmut Marko (aka Dr No).

Once might be considered a racing incident twice is reckless

Unfortunately for Jensen it was more damaging to his season than Vetel's or Red BALLS

i think for that incident the punishmeant was just about fair, but they should sit him down and give him the mother of all s*aftings, and tell him to get his act together and stop messing up!
