The great Garage sell off!

Ok, lots and lots to sell!! I will add pictures over the next few days but in the mean time if you’re interested in anything in particular u2u me an email address and I’ll send over a picture. I’m open to sensible offers on most of the stuff but I’d rather not post the heavy stuff like gearboxes etc. I live about a mile from junction 24 of the M6 if you’re coming North and a mile from junction 25 if you’re coming south.

Transmission

Type 9 gearbox – excellent condition : £50
Type E 4 speed gearbox + gearlever – bit grubby externally but lovely inside: £50
Cast iron bellhousing suitable for either of the above: £10
Quickshift gearlever for a type 9 – never used : £20
Propshaft – says Tiger 6 on the label – for Type 9 to English (standard flange) axle. The UJs are circlipped rather than staked so easy to dismantle AND I have a hardy splicer for earlier Ford gearboxes if you want it : £50
English axle casing: all Escort brackets removed, unfortunately a little banana shaped :£10
2x 3.89 English Diffs : £25 each

Morgan Alloy Zetec to Type 9 Bellhousing – brilliant thing this and pretty rare, it’s big advantage is that it’s few centimeters shorter than a standard bellhousing (and quite a bit narrower at the gearbox end) SO you can either add a spacer plate to the gearbox end (caterham sell these as well) and move your engine quite a lot further back OR if you have an unusual engine get an adaptor plate laser cut and you wont have to trim the bellhousing back at the engine end - u2u me if you want more details/dimensions: £125

Triumph Dolomite Live axle – dimensionally virtually identical to a Ford English Axle but with a triumph PCD. I seem to remember its got a 3.89 or similar diff and comes complete with drum brakes. Everything goes round fine but it’s in ‘just removed from car’ condition ie a bit rusty cosmetically - been in the way for years now : £15

Engines

ZX10 (older B type) Engine package – The nicest late 80’s ZX10 you’ll ever come across! Derestricted Carbs (so roughly 140bhp) lower GPZ900 sump, stainless engine bolts, complete wiring loom, clocks, all ancillaries, radiator, prop adaptor etc etc. All that’s missing are a couple of water pipes, the cush drive from the alternator and a GPZ oil pickup (but I will include the original ZX10 Sump and pickup) : Absolute bargain at £275!

Crossflow: Boxes and boxes of 1300 parts from when I built Locost race engines u2u me with want you want and I’m probably going to have at least 1! (apart from sumps for some reason!) EVERYTHING BELOW THIS UNTIL YOU GET TO 'ELECTRICAL BITS' ARE FOR FORD CROSSFLOW ENGINES NOT ZETECS........

Stage 1 Unleaded Cylinder head: Has 3 angle seats and the slightly larger GT valves, from Specialised Engines as I recall and may have some mild porting. Ideal head for a 1300, has done one rolling road session and a couple of Locost races (cough cough – was bought in error!!) but that’s it : £150

Steel Rocker posts/shaft/spacers/standard rockers: £50
Twin Cam Pistons: set of 4 +015 inc pins – will need new rings but otherwise in decent condition: £90
Caterham ‘1700 Super Sprint’ Rocker cover: Excellent condition, has tapped hole for breather: £90

Alloy Bike Carb Manifold: spaced for Honda Blackbird carbs/throttle bodies. Decent thing, mounting face is flat, welding is good, will need a little work but a great start :£75 OR £100 with a set of Blackbird throttle bodies minus the injectors

Lightweight flywheel: 4.5 kg, takes a standard clutch plate – rings like a bell : £40

Caterham 4:2:1 standard manifold: a little cosmetically challenged and doesn’t come with the 2 into 1 collector but it is stainless steel and, as with most Caterham stuff, very well made : £35

4:2:1 Exhaust: I’d say it was Ashley but the welding is too good Great condition, cheap and cheerful at : £25

Electrical Stuff

4 Cylinder TPS Megajolt: includes nicely assembled board, EDIS, coil pack, 2 crank position sensors, trigger wheel and a Maplins project box which you will need to adapt to suit : £150

Triumph Dolomite clocks: Smiths Speedo, Rev counter, fuel, volts and temp – basically the complete dash panel from a Sprint : £25

Wheels

Set of 4 Ford Laser RS type wheels: need a paint/polish and the tyres are scrap but in decent condition otherwise: £40

There is more but I’m losing the will to live As I said at the top I am open to offers as it all needs to go! and if you have any MX5 parts to swap I may be very interested!

Cheers, Dave

Indeed my garage looks like a bomb has hit it already finding all the stuff..... which is actually counter productive to what I wanted! I haven't even looked in the crates under the workbench yet

Interested in the Lightweight flywheel: 4.5 kg, takes a standard clutch plate – rings like a bell : £40 is it a zetec and are you referring to a sierra clutch plate, if so consider it sold !?

Cheers

Sorry, bit off topic - "and a mile from junction 25 if you’re coming south" - Isn't J25 the one with no southbound exit?
