I was told when I bought it that it was done from the haynes roadster manual as he had it for a couple of years off another chap who built it, but after measuring the wishbone brackets only the rear is from the roadster

Sorry I sold the book years ago but it did have an Irs back end.

So how old do you think it is ?

I didnt think the haynes roadster book was that old but time flies.

Have you got a pic of the full thing.

Assuming its to the locost book it needs the back lower bracket at least cutting of and setting as per book.

if the orginal builder of this has altered the front end of the chassis and has not kept to the book design you may have problems with steering if its not built right most of the cars ive seen are built as the pics above. look at how the front wishbone are made in the book.

I would have thought caster was built in to the uprights and can becadjusted with washers at the wishbone mounting brackets.
It's no big deal to cut off the brackets jig and weld new ones
