Nice looking Avon. Just waiting on Tiger getting me the full cage as well.

Have you got any more pics of your boot lid? My current one is gonna have to be messed around with to get the support struts in and is a pain as mine sits on top and not inside of the tub like most others do.

Hi mate,

noticed your not too far away from me.

The guys at MAC#1 fitted the cage and uttered some #*$?? at me when i picked it up as they dont fit very well at all.
But that said it looks better IMHO and makes you feel safer too.

They 2 good lads who didnt charge a fortune and theyre in Sheffield.

Give me a buzz if your contemplating coming up and ill meet you for a brew

Rob.

Yes mate its Tigers. The guys at MAC#1 fitted it but they werent happy with the upper fitting as it fouled on the frame behind the grp so they made a lovely little plate for it.

Good Looking Tiger Avon

Hi, I am about 60% through my Avon Build so it is good to see some well finished cars for inspiration. Where did you get the aeroscreen and dash panel from? Did you get it through IVA with that steering wheel?
Regards
John

Hi j37w,

steering wheel is fine for IVA mate(bought from MAC#1 in Sheffield).

Aeroscreen and dash blank both bought from Laura in Tiger Racing. 40 quid for each from memory.

It looks like it sits on the top then? Mine does for some reason as the lip is flat part way round so you cant have the standard finish like say an MK does where it sits inside

Mine is like this at the mo - on top of tub

Yeah mine sits just like yours mate.

The colour of your car is awesome i may add.

One question....your bonnet looks much better than mine for 2 reasons which i need you to explain if poss.

The doesnt seem to be the horrible bulge that Avons have where the carbs should sit and also you have a mesh in the top bulge. Is this a std bonnet mate?

Rob.

P.S.Fancy a run to Cadwell at the weekend, we are doin a track day then?

The bonnet was like that when i bought the car - the guy I bought it off was pretty good at bodywork and has done a good job. I think he has cut out the bonnet and fixed mesh in as its just glued on the back. Not sure about the nose though as mine dosent have the bulge either so must be a different one.

Shes off the road now till after Xmas as been sorting the exhaust and getting ready for this cage (when they finally arrive at Tiger!) Getting married in 3 weeks so not got the time to get everything done this year!

Defo would be up for something in the new year though when its done! Want to have a play on a track!

Nice looking Avon.

Can I ask where you got you roll bar in the first set of pics, as I'm building one and like the option of the full cage at a later date!
Does the full cage bolt to the rear roll bar?

Cheers,
Neil
