2008 R1 wiring question

im going through my wiring loom, but am a bit stuck with the ATV fuse wiring?

basically on the loom it has a perminant live going into the fuse, then a small cable coming out (which on the wiring diagram goes to the ecu), but this goes to a 6 pin multi block(most of the other wires go to the ecu).

but i don't have anywhere to plug this into?

so the wire coming out of the fuse is currently just going to a dead end.

so anyone any ideas on this?

cheers

ahh, i think i might have just sorted this.

i think the atv fuse and backup fuse were in the fuse holder the wrong way around.

as both go off the perminant live, one goes to the ecu, and one goes to a connecter block.

so am i right in assuming the one that goes straight to the ecu is the ATV, and the other cable is the back up for the dials, and not needed.

cheers

Sommetimes there is a connector block that is only there for connecting the dealer computer to, couldn't be that, could it?

Beware the wiring diagram of doom.... The wiring diagram in my manual was quite different to reality.

yes, ive definatly got a wiring diagram of doom, especially as half the wire colours on the diagram don't match up with the loom.

but im starting to get there.

although i think the chances of it starting up first time will be very slim.

Once you get the hang of it, its not so hard, the blue/black ones and black ones don't always go where you expect, and are not all the same circuit, but the rest are more or less unique.

If you need any help tracing wires let me know and i'll see if I can spot them in my spagetti
