Buying cars in NI ??

I have discovered seeing as the supply of swb Shoguns in the UK is scant, there are lots of this model for sale in Northern Ireland.

Whats the crack with buying one ? I expect the sale/purchase to be the same as if I bought one in Cumbria...

Will the registration hpi check work on NI cars ? if not what will...

Any pitfalls apart from buying a stolen motor ?

Yes HPI does work on NI cars and as it's still part of the UK!! It's just the same as buying in Wales or Scotland, there is no issue with re-registering to a GB plate if you wish although a NI plate is non dating.

Thankfully most of us still have running water and recently the electric light arrived!!

Are they getting rare over here? I have a couple if you are interested. Both are old "L or M" reg but good trucks. One is a 2.8 turbo diesil and the other a V6 3.0L with an LPG conversion. Either will come with a full MOT and I really must get around to selling them soon as I need the space and don't really use them any more as I can tow with my GT4 now!

Good cheap reliable workhorses

As said same if where buying a welsh or scottish car. Use to be an issue where the dvla considered the car not to be taxed but not anymore, as its all done via swansea now

had to think about the bottle of water for a second, anyway....

Its a Shogun Di-D swb which are a bit scant on the ground.

I can get a flight to Belfast for £30, and Cairnryan is a 3.5 hour drive from mine, so not a big deal.

Thanks re HPi...
