SR20DET water temp sensor thred?

Can anyone help please, i need to find out the thread of the temp sensor for the gauge on an sr20det engine.

I have fitted my current sensor for my vdo gauge in the top hose and im not happy with that and wish to move it to the correct place on the engine block but i dont know what thred it is. I have no measuring devices at the mo.

I hope you guys can help

You mean the water temp sensor? On the CA19DET it is on the forward right hand side of the head, near the water inlet. I am fairly certain the SR20 is the same. Just don't mix it up with the sensor for the ECU! I did that once and nothing worked.

M12 x 1.25 is the thread mentioned that I found on google. Word is, that to use SAE sizes, you need adaptors.
