koln axle
Hi All
The axle on my tiger super6 i have been told is a koln type from a cortina. ive stripped out the diff as it was shot but c
annot find a replacement as every body i try says the koln axle is crap and dont bother stocking parts for it.
Help needed, any ideas

hmm yeah, they're not hugely common, and thought to be quite weak. maybe consider changing for a capri atlas axle instead? more parts available,
and there's quite a few on ebay just now too.
just check they're the same size first (i think they're both 52" wide) and the diff flange is the same.
you got any pics of the axle?
someone might have one in a garage on here, but i'd really consider changing if possible

It's a Mk 3/4/5 Cortina axle. They are not rare - see my post in the thread linked above for more details.

Think im going to take advice and get rid of koln axle altogether and get an atlas, just got to find some
brackets for the trailing arms and get them jigged on. Anybody know of anyone that could do that

can't remember the last time i saw a cortina what i meant was though, atlas axles are stronger, and theres more parts available for them
(tuning parts especially if thats ever the plan)
