how do you reset fault codes R1

Hello All

Dropped a clanger!!

removed plugs on my R1 5pw and tested starter motor start button immediately induced fault code 11 on clocks evidently something to do with cam position sensor which verifies and synchronises firing order etc then replaced plugs and coils thinking fault would sort itself out

Alas it did not

Have checked coils are on correct cylinder

Is it necessary to reset clocks to get rid of fault code?

If so how

before this ill advised test all was well!!!

Tony

Have you tried simply disconnecting the battery for a while and trying again?

It resets itself at next start up if the fault has gone. If you've still got thecode the fault is still there. Have you checked the sensor and plug?

the r1 clocks reset every time the ignition is switched if its still flagging a fault after the engines running for a few seconds or the ignition is switched on after a few seconds then there is still a fault

beaten to it
