What power output is now the norm?

What output at wheels/flywheel is the norm? Going on rolling road tomorrow because seems so down on power but need to know what to aim for - or whether to bother. Many thanks.

Each rolling road will be different and most will have different ways of calculating back to the flywheel from the wheels where it is measured.

I have 2 engines for this season, differen specs but both (obviously) within the regs. They went 87bhp and 91bhp at the fly at Tom Airey, Southampton.

I think 90bhp is considered very good.

However, its about the power band and where it comes in thats important as far as I can tell. No good having 95bhp if its only useable for 500rpm at the top of the power band.

All imho of course.
