Stoneleigh Shopping

What did you not get from the show that you was on your shopping list?
Me:
A 600mm thick wall steel tube for the steering column (everything was ally, plastic or brass rods)
Fibreglass matting and supplies
A couple of solderless nipples
Carbon Di Noc sheet
A decent steering wheel (only because I decided against the RMD one once I saw it)

Mesh for my grille - but then Adrian (adithorp) told me the expanded stuff I bought is an airflow killer....so I might find something better - was only a fiver, anyway.
High level brake light.
And a bit of sunburn and chapped lips - that was free!

But I have higher priorities than grilles and brakelights now (see under 'wanted'

Sorry - just noticed on re-reading that you said what did you NOT get....oops!

Seating foam and yellow thread.
Also thought there was a lack of decent gauges and seat belts.

Sorry, mate...

I went with no shopping list for once. I did get persuaded that a 2.4 rack was needed though instead of my 2.9 (thanks steve) so didn't get away without spending money... but did avoid RD's postage, got show discount and got them to throw in new mounting (poly) bushes.

ME:

rivnut air gun
fibreglass matting and resin
Locking nut for trackrod end
Perspex for dash
big pack of nuts and bolts (ended up using bapp for bolts in scunny)
brake pressure switch for brake lines

thats about all the bits i didnt get.

i was a little disapointed by the lack of stuff at the show to be honest. especially when they say its the biggest in the world.

Thanks

Well, I couldn't find a 240v water pump anywhere!
You know, the sort of thing you use in a big aquarium.

I did find a nice little heat exchanger, and a couple of 240v fans,
but what good is that with no water pump?

Still, patience is a virtue so they say.

a schuttle, as the one i have bought isnt right for my bonnet and side pannels

i thought their would be more body pannels on offer at the show unless i missed a section of it.

I did have a shopping list but didn't have much luck!

Seat cover padded thingys the ones that you can stick to the standard GRP seats. anyone know what they are called?
they look like armadillo/back protectors

also wanted a set of rear springs (faulkner) but have got them now.
