next diff question....
My lsd has been stood for a while waiting to go in the car and it seems to have seized. Is this possible? it turns fine from the prop but trying to
turn the wheel flanges in opposite directions by hand is impossible. Is this normal for a lsd or should i force it to free it off? Ive got the back
off and cant see anything blocking the planet gears.

I would tend to say that is normal for an LSD. No sorry, got that wrong, totally FUBAR, I'll give you a tenner for it.
The standard open diffs will turn in both directions quite easily. What is the LSD off?

its a normal viscous lsd from the sierra but its the rarer 3.92 so i hope it is ok.

Turning by hand very hard if you are just grabbing the hubs, keep even pressure and it will creep around.

Yep the outputs of my relatively low mileage 3.92 LSD from a 2 litre DOHC are pretty difficult to turn in opposite directions just holding onto the
flanges and twisting by hand. Takes some effort. I'm of the opinion this indicates it's in pretty good condition. I've had some
tired old 3.62s from V6s with intergalactic mileage that have been very much easier to turn in opposite directions by hand. I guess they are the
fubared ones, and possibly the reason a few drivers report the sierra LSD to be pretty inneffective in limiting inner wheel spin.
