Honda Civic 2003 Drive belt question. 1.6

Hello All

Does anyone know the recommended number of mile/age you should change the drive belt on a honda civic 2003 1.6

If your are asking about the cam belt (timing belt) then 75,000miles or 8 years according to Autodata.

As above istr it is now a minimum requirement for anything imported to the USA.

I can also say based on experience Honda belts have been almost never known to break.

Water pump usually needs replacing at same time as one is doing the Belt.
It's just easier to do both together rather than separately.
Yes the belts DO break.. but usually at much higher than 80k miles.
Having said that 1.6 engines/ parts are dirt cheap to buy used :-).
