fuel pipe size??

Hello,

Im just plumbing in the fuel system and have a silly question. I have 8mm ID fuel pipe and when it comes to the high pressure pump, the inlet appears to be 12mm. So how can I take a piece of fuel pipe from the swirl pot outlet (8mm ID) to 12mm on the HP pump?

I may be missing a trick here but could do with some help!!

Thanks

andy
