"it was just a miserable excuse for a vehicle. Then fortune shined on it and it found itself winging its way into a cosy corner of our workshop."

I don't think fortune shined on it at all. Why have they fitted tyres that are way too narrow for the rims and deliberately broken the suspension? It's just a completely pointless exercise.

One persons pointless is another persons hobby.
Lots of people don’t see the point of making a car when you can buy a finished one (luckily i'm not one of those people).

As for the Aixam, its hideous and hilarious

My friend's wife had a standard one a few years ago, it's probably the best thing to do with one. It used to vibrate like mad, probably why she liked it
