How Many Magnets for Prop Mounted Speed Sensor?

Is there a 'usual number' for prop mounted speed-sensor magnets?

Also, how important is their spacing?

Cheers!

My Acewell uses 1 magnet, but I think you can adjust it upto 4 if needed in the settings.

Cheers guys... it's an Acewell sensor that I'm using for a VDO speedo, so I guess I'll start with one and see how I get on!

You will only need one, even on a driveshaft one will give accurate readings from about 2-3 MPH & the prop is going to be going 3 & a bit times as fast!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

I have got two, and they are fixed in place with a 'two - pack' type gunge which is, I suppose a sort of chemical metal like phelpsa mentioned - its called...... Unibond repair express power putty ....and I got it from B+Q at peel corner, but I think the holyoake ave branch is nearer you?
