racing simulator cockpit

Anybody got some good ideas on how to make a racing simulator, something like the Playseats arrangement?

Can't be that hard to reproduce from plywood and some 2 x4's. Post your setups!

I got a better Idea, why not build a Locost chassis and build it around that with the gaming Wheel and pedal box? Obviously you wouldn't need to most of the stuff as it's not going to be an actual car, and If you got adventurous you could wire up some of those ram things to make it move about.

Don't think much of the side intrusion/rollover protection.

I think you need to expand the scope of the project to include the driving opinions of those in the Locostbuilders Forum - bagsy first go!

For £250k 1000 of us could build our own race car apparently.

Sweet set up - looks very advanced.

Actually runs on electric motors/worm gears. Apparently it gives faster and more accurate reactions.
