it runs!!!!!

yipeeeeee at long last i had the r1 5pw running today for the first time tad on the loud side with only a manifold and no airbox but sounded sweet........and no fault codes either!

Congratulations!

It's an awesome feeling when you've been building it all for so long. The anxiety and nerves as you go through the whole procedure are god awful, but the whole weight is lifted when it finally springs into life. Two of the neighbours came round when mine started, just to have a nosey!

it took ages to get going because i think the fuel pump was either air locked or jammed and wasnt giving and supply pressure stripped it and cleaned and refitted had to wash the fuel tank out and reweld a pin hole as had a tiny leak,put it all back together put the same amount of fuel back in and she fired first flick of the key was gobsmacked was a tad loud no air box and no silencer just manifold only

will try and take a lil video soon really need to get cooling system plumbed in so i can run it up to temp
