Mines finished, but during 2012 I really hope to get out in it more this year.

I got out a lot during 2010 but not very much at all in 2011 - 2012 will be different

Good luck in finishing your build

I expect to get the engine running until February, car running inside the garage within one month of that. Then spend some time setting up the suspension and finishing the instrument panel and get it on a track for test. Then, track days as much as possible.

Not sure I'll get it road-worthy during 2012, though, since it will cost loads of money (mainly taxes when importing the UK plate to Portuguese) and I'll probably keep the money around until the crisis passes or use it to reduce the mortgage.

But I hope to co-drive it with the wife to the 'ring by 2014... (Almost 5000km round trip)

I'm not entirely sure what this finished thing is...

Once you have completed the build and are on the road, that is the time for the upgrades to begin...

Completed mine in 2006, so had a few MOT's since then. Usually average just under the 3K mileage allowance, although last year managed just under 700 miles, but am doing loads of upgrades over the winter, and hope to get back to my previous average again in the new year. Cheers Ray

To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

I have a busy 2012 but I'm hoping to get mine finished and on track at least once before the end of the year. New engine on the cards though I think...
