Anyone with a Acumens gear indicator DG8 display, with bike powered car?

Looking at these on eBay, Acumen's Gear Indicator DG8

Just wondering if any has fitted on to a fireblade engine/ loom in a 7 shape kit car.

eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

Waste of money, easy to fit?

I don't have the Acumen but do have the GIPro, as do a quite a few in here - great bit of kit and easy to fit although slightly more expensive than the Acmen

Looking at some, one uses the speedo and rev to learn the gears and some use magnet sensor for up and down display

I personally would use the cheap £15 setup that's available on eBay. It responds much quicker than the Acumen tacho/speedo version. If you get one set up correctly they work fine.

On the magnet version The fitting looks simple like I can put the sensors to my shift leaver and hide under the carpet the sensors. But my gear ratios are 5 up 1 down. How will this work with my first gear down and nutral between 1st and 2nd? As it will past the sensor going down but will be 1st gear If that makes sense? Will it pick up nutraul from my current netraul light? If so how off just one wire?

Should work fine Nick with your configuration, they take a one wire feed from your neutral light/signal. Whether your gears are 1 down & 5 up, or 1 up & 5 down it will work ok.
