Anyone fancy coming to Nurburgring? 10th-14th May

Hi all,

The dates got released about a week ago for the ring and the people I went with 2 years ago are going again. Looks like this time the cars will be out numbered by the bikers again. Current standing is about 15 bikes 7 cars. Lots of different cars. Potentially we have Mx5s to an Evo going with Mk2 Golf and Astra turbo in the middle! Myself (Striker) and RussM (Fury) from LCB will be going.

This is the first post on here regarding trying to gauge interest but its quite simples really. As I get the booking information and details ill U2U them across to interested parties. Its then their responsibility to contact Eurotunnel, hotel etc to book their place. Closer to the time ill arange meeting places and essentially we can all go over together. Would be nice to see some other kit cars. See my below link regarding the last time I went. It includes estimated costs and stuff.

So, fancy some continental driving to the most famous 'toll road' in the world?

Hmm good question.

I don't know as i only see road legal but you may need to drive on the road depending on how busy it is.

it has to be road legal and not too noisy. you also have to bare in mind that your insurance company most likely dont cover you on the ring. Most english companies specifically exclude it. Meaning that not only are you not covered for your car but if you spill fluids or wipe someone else out like a bike, you will be paying the claim for injury/damage.

Hmmm sounds very close to what happened to a friend of mine last year in his 911. Dont suppose you know him do you?
It ended up costing him 15 grand in total

Be very aware of the insurance trap...they didnt pay a penny!!

sorry mate, but people should know these things, a serious accident could be life changing regardless of injury. I have been going for about 7 years now and im amazed how many people dont know the issues. I am going in may so will look out for you.

Just a passing comment mate. He was the only one out of 6 or 7 people, the rest said it was the best money they had ever spent on a track.

I might be interested along with 1 or 2 others.

Can you send the details please when you have a mo?

That's ok peps. my comment was tongue in cheek anyway. your right to. there is big risks but if you drive at 80%then the odds of a lap costing 24 euros not 2400 euros is good me thinks.

Ill send then across tomorrow when im not laying in bed with the wife using the phone to post!!

One place I'd love to go. But it's well hard not to go full out 100% on any track though
It's on my list. Just not this time. Good luck to all who go and keep us posted on your progress

Thank's, Joe
