When I first moved to rural Northumberland, the local farmers used to talk about the lambing storms, I thought they were talking kak.

However, they werent talking kak and as if by magic, a week of snow and grim weather appeared to coincide with lambing. And here we are again....

Its +8c here so its not going to snow much today, might get some above 200m.

I'm glad I don't live in Scotland anymore, I hate snow (Not that I remember much snow falling in Glasgow.

It's full blown summer here in Ashford, I managed to work up a sweat walking round the corner to work this afternoon.

We've had a none-stop snow storm since 19:00 hrs yesterday and now I'm stuck at work until the next team can get here. It's a good job I have a 4x4 with brand new snow tyres.......sat at home whilst I'm in the Audi with almost bald track tyres.

If it makes you feel any better chaps, it's wet, miserable, 16c and grey here too

The town's filling up with 'grockles' intent on having a good Easter break, Germans, French, Brits, but mostly Spanish.

Money's tight, so the bar-owners may be grateful for the four day forecast of cloud 'n' rain in the hope that the beach-goers spend some time and money in their hostelries. I wouldn't bank on it though. SWMBO was in the main supermarket yesterday (Consum) and reported it lifting with visitors buying everything in sight. Looks like even holidaymakers are battening down the hatches financially.

Should be back to sun and 22c by weekend.

A good covering of snow here in Derbyshire this morning, about 4" on the back garden. I was mowing the lawn in shorts and T shirt last week thinking all this was behind us

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Forget the Keo during the day, it's the kokinelli, St Pantaleimon (St Pandemonium) and the brandy-sours at night that do the damage!
(80 stopovers and holidays in Cyprus 1973-86. Happy days).
Enjoy.
