3-sge Engines

I have two 3-SGE Toyota 2.0 16v units for sale include ancillaries one has no loom other has it cut at where it goes through the bulkhead.

An ignition unit plug and play is available from aus for 180quid to run them on carbs.

My old ss2 ran 193bhp @fly on the rollers with a 4-1 2'' exhaust and an hks intake. They're strong bullet proof lumps.

Engine 1
1998 Uk Engine 66k miles
£150

Engine 2
1997 JDM Import 108k km
£175

Both engines are known good and are in Sheffield will take original book build parts in p/ex

Just out of interest, do you know how the engine mounts compare on these to a 4-age engine?

Can't answer your question, but if it's with thought to putting it in your Stryker you'll probably have to cut a big hole
in the bonnet. The 3S is a tall engine.

Raw used to fit them into all sorts so don't foresee much of a problem

RAW have used the 4AGE extensively but not the 3SGE as far as I am aware. Gearbox choice is limited. I have a 3SGE in my Spyder with a T50 gearbox and a modified 2T bellhousing.
You could use the 6 speeder from a 3SGE engined Altezza import but it is rather long. And usually expensive.
As regards engine height the 3SGE isn't too high if using carbs like I do. I originally ran the HYPERPAK ignition module but it failed after a year. I now run a V3 Megasquirt and coil on plug.
The standard Rev3 UK engine is 173 bhp. The JDM variant is 178 bhp.

I was sure raw had maybe my mistake.

Uk is200 box can be modified to fit. That I do know.

Have also seen type 9s on them

They lose height when the inlets removed certainly.

I've a lot of experience of them in their natural home.

If the engine is a Rev3 unit then you shouldn't be far off 200 bhp on throttle bodies. Maybe more. You should be able to increase the rev limit, even on standard internals. Have a browse on the "Tech and conversions" forum on the TOYMODS website.
