Audi A4 auto fluid change, help required.

2008 A4 2.0 Tdi CVT auto.

Anybody know where the filler point is and how to set the level ?

Jacked the car up and the drain plug is obvious but the filler isn't. Can't even see a sender
that could be removed to use the hole, all wires go to a multiplug at the back of the box with
no visible fixings. Don't want to just unplug it incase the ECU throws a wobbler.

PS : Haven't drained it yet, thought it best to find out how to get it back in first !!

If it is the same as all of the other late VAG cars the filler neck/level is also the drain, to drain you remove the plug and the pipe inside, when filling replace the pipe and connect the filler tool to the drain plug hole , lift the reservoir of the tool so it's higher than the sump pan , with the engine running fill with required amount. To just check the level start engine and remove the drain plug but not the level tube, fluid will overflow when the system is full. It is possible to top up if you can get a pipe into the drain hole and over the top of the level tube without the correct tool

Most modern autoboxes you have to be very careful that the box is at the correct temperature when checking the level, I would strongly advise leaving to the dealer or better an autobox specialist.
