Clarke Bench Drill

I've got a Clarke Pillar Drill as below:

Description
Description

Got it for peanuts from a car boot, but the mains no-voltage switch is foobarred! I've stripped it down but think the solenoid coil is duff as it seems to be O/C.

Does anyone know if you can get a replacement or an equivelant. The motor is 240V 5A so I guess a 6A or 10A no-voltage switch should be fine.

Thanks.

JB

probably www.cpc.co.uk or www.rswww.com

Take the number off the switch and give either a call

The only thing I can see on the switch is 'GWE AC 240V' and that's actually on the solenoid coil wrapper.

Phone machine Mart parts, they will supply the correct part and it normally works out cheaper than RS or Farnell.

My lathe switch was fubar and the replacement part was £3.99 including p&p

Machine Mart parts is exactly where I would go, too. Needed a part for a mates 20year old mig welder last year and had it next day. I think the bloke was called Darren and was very helpful.

Yeah... But you need their parts place.. NOT the local Shop. Found them very good, and they will fax a parts list if you ask them... Maybe even email one these days!
