a very useful tip

When you have had a hard day building fencing at your new house and then when you get home you go to the co-op and get some beer because what you really need is a few ice cold lagers - Becks seems cheap today - be sure to read the label because is seems that some Becks is actually completely devoid of alcohol

"That thing you're thinking - it wont be that."

Treat yourself to some decent beer! You can get brewdog in sainsburys, goose island ipa and sierra nevada in waitrose! none of this wee water lager!

Been there too, brother got me some with the blue label by accident for my birthday, to be fair compared to non-alcholic drinks I'd tried in the past it was fairly drinkable!
Like SeanStone says you can get some nice stuff in the supermarket which is what I prefer for a quiet drink or two at home, but if I'm out it's Becks, I like it well enough, everywhere has it & I dont get too bad a hangover from it!

Not a fan of brewdog, but sainsburys is good for leffe blonde and I've been known to empty morrisons of doom bar.

The advantage of Becks Blue is that it tastes very much like real Becks, which is useful when it's your turn to drive and you want something that looks, tastes and smells like real beer, but isn't going to result in you losing your licence...

What I don't understand is why Becks Blue is so expensive in a pub - sometimes as much as real Becks - when the only tax on it is VAT (no excise duty).

A pint of coke is often twice as much as a pint of beer... It doesn't exactly promote safe drinking does it?

Lager..... How SAD!
Becks, Bud, Bier Blonde, Arrrgghhhh... I can't believe I am typing these words

For me..... Its Real Ale or a nice Malty Scotch if the former is not available.

My Body is like a Temple to me, and I will not violate it with La*er or other trashy so called "Beers"!

PS... Mind you its now a pretty BIG "temple", erring on the side of a Cathedral
